MISSION STATEMENT

The mission of Northwest Alternative and Community Education is to provide a helpful and safe learning environment for the non-traditional student and the lifelong curious of the Northwest community.

PROFILE

The Alternative and Community Education program is based upon the belief that education is a lifelong process and that we have a responsibility to provide all students and community members an equal opportunity for learning. The program helps students receive high school credits in non-traditional ways. Services are also provided to traditional high school students through after school and evening classes as well as summer school. One hundred and sixty-five different students received credits through these non-traditional methods of learning during the school year 2002-2003. Community Education also serviced another 300 community members in our enrichment courses offered throughout the school year.
